Senior Principal Solutions Architect - PLM & Digital Thred

Location: Rockville, Maryland, USA — onsite at 1601 Research Blvd

Annual base salary: $151,400–$236,600, plus potential discretionary or non-discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Define and execute enterprise PLM and Digital Thread strategy, governance, architecture standards, and multi-year technology roadmaps.
• Architect, configure, administer, and continuously improve Siemens Teamcenter X for engineering, quality, manufacturing, and commercial operations.
• Design integrations between Teamcenter X, MES platforms, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, CAD tools, laboratory systems, and other enterprise applications.
• Establish product data, master data, integration, and lifecycle management standards across PLM, MES, ERP, QMS, and LIMS platforms.
• Lead architecture reviews, vendor governance, operational support, incident resolution, performance monitoring, and roadmap alignment.
• Advise executive and cross-functional stakeholders, mentor technical staff, and ensure validated solutions meet 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 14 years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, digital transformation, PLM, or engineering systems leadership, including 10 years leading large-scale PLM implementations.
• At least seven years of hands-on Siemens Teamcenter PLM experience covering implementation, configuration, upgrades, and administration.
• Experience designing PLM integrations with MES and/or ERP systems, including manufacturing data flows, work orders, routing, material tracking, and traceability.
• Experience implementing PLM in FDA-regulated or GxP environments, including computer system validation and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
• Must be able to work at the Rockville, Maryland, USA location and meet applicable US work eligibility requirements; E-Verify is used.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with Teamcenter X cloud/SaaS PLM and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne integrations.
• Consulting experience across multiple life-sciences customers and implementations.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems and strategic enterprise technology selection.
