TL;DR

Location: Kemmerer, Wyoming or Richland, Washington; ability to work remotely or in-office; travel required up to 50%

Salary: $142,996–$190,661 annually. The stated range is specific to Washington State.

What you will do

  • Provide strategic technical oversight and direction across major subcontract relationships covering design, development, licensing, EPC, commissioning, and utility transition.
  • Develop statements of work, project plans, specifications, technical requirements, and interfaces for subcontractor scopes.
  • Direct and review subcontractor deliverables, coordinate technical reviews, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage technical interfaces, changes, escalations, and collaboration with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance using established systems, metrics, performance improvement plans, and project controls including EVMS.
  • Support contract administration, commercial activities, supplier strategy, negotiations, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering, preferably with academic focus related to nuclear power plants or equipment.
  • At least 15 years of experience managing technically oriented customer-to-subcontractor interfaces.
  • Experience in construction management or a similar field, including construction or commercial contracts and delivery methods.
  • Experience with manufacturing, industrial, government, or infrastructure projects; nuclear industry and international project experience preferred.
  • Experience with DOE, National Laboratories, process mapping, root cause analysis, problem solving, value-stream mapping, and project metrics.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, leadership, collaboration, and independent working skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience contracting or managing engineering scope in the nuclear industry.
  • Experience working on international projects and with DOE or National Laboratory operations.
