Site HSE Manager

Location: Aldie, Virginia, United States; onsite at hirify.global's operational data center campus

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day HSE activities and assurance across campus operations, including work performed by employees, vendors, facilities partners, and contractors.
• Verify critical controls covering permit to work, hazardous energy control/LOTO, electrical safety, high-risk maintenance, contractor management, inductions, and safe systems of work.
• Advise site operations leadership, build HSE capability, and provide independent oversight and constructive challenge.
• Lead inspections, risk assessments, environmental compliance activities, emergency preparedness, drills, corrective-action verification, and statutory reporting.
• Support incident investigations, near-miss reviews, operational learning, audits, training, toolbox talks, and HSE documentation.
• Escalate significant risks and trends to the Regional HSE Manager – Americas and implement regional and global HSE programs locally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of EHS experience, preferably in mission-critical operations, data centers, facilities management, construction, engineering, or contractor management.
• Experience with electrical systems, hazardous energy control/LOTO, permit to work, contractor maintenance, or comparable critical-risk activities.
• Knowledge of U.S. federal and Virginia occupational safety and environmental regulations, as well as NFPA 70E and NFPA 70B.
• Strong risk assessment, communication, coaching, reporting, organizational, and project management skills.
• Availability to work in a 24/7 mission-critical environment, including occasional emergency, incident-response, or high-risk work support outside normal business hours.

Nice to have

• Certified Safety Professional certification or equivalent.
• Experience as an owner's representative or general contractor.
• Experience supervising HSE personnel.
• Graduate degree in HSE or a related field.
