Supplier Quality Engineer (Semiconductor): Managing supplier quality, audits, qualification, corrective actions, and failure analysis for purchased semiconductor products with an accent on supplier performance, quality systems, and component manufacturing flows. Focus on resolving supplier-related quality events, assessing reliability data, and coordinating requirements across operations, suppliers, and customers.

Location: Hsinchu, North District, Hsinchu City, Taiwan

Salary: TWD 1,324,800–1,987,200 yearly

What you will do

  • Act as the primary quality contact between operations, suppliers, and customers.
  • Define and execute supplier audits and surveys covering quality standards, validation, and ongoing quality capabilities.
  • Monitor supplier quality metrics, manage supplier performance, and support corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Support incoming inspection, problem-part resolution, alternative supplier selection, and supplier qualification decisions.
  • Initiate and follow up on supplier failure-analysis requests and provide quality assurance engineering support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in the semiconductor or relevant industry.
  • Demonstrated system-based problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with component and PCB manufacturing flows.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin are required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of semiconductor device reliability mechanisms, silicon reliability modeling, and lifetime prediction.
  • Experience with Weibull and Lognormal analysis, lifetime plotting, and statistical interpretation of reliability data.
  • Familiarity with Arrhenius, Eyring, Power-Law, Coffin-Manson, and other industry-standard reliability models.
  • Experience assessing supplier qualification reports, accelerated life test results, reliability projections, JEDEC requirements, and semiconductor failure-analysis practices.
