Senior Engineer, Customer Quality Engineering (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Hillsboro, OR or Aurora, IL, United States. The role requires flexibility for non-standard hours and alternate shifts supporting North America and Asia, with 10%–50% domestic and international travel.

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 annually, plus annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Engage with customers, sales teams, manufacturing, product, supply chain, quality, and supplier organizations.
• Execute Customer Quality Engineering responsibilities according to company policies, business processes, and account support plans.
• Support the Materials Solutions Division and participate in customer and internal audits, change management, problem solving, product support, and development programs.
• Manage cross-functional projects and issues across customers, suppliers, products, regions, and companies.
• Maintain business process documentation, item tracking, performance reporting, and continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate work across North America-based manufacturing facilities and Asia-based support teams and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in quality, process, equipment, or materials, preferably in the semiconductor industry or another manufacturing industry.
• Experience managing customer and internal issues, escalations, and projects focused on closing gaps between company capabilities and customer needs.
• Experience with quality tools including Pareto analysis, FMEA, SPC/SQC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, design of experiments, cause-and-effect diagrams, and 8D problem solving.
• Must be able to work from Hillsboro, Oregon or Aurora, Illinois, work non-standard hours and alternate shifts, and travel 10%–50% domestically and internationally.
