IS Engineer – Software (Java Full Stack Engineer)

Location: Remote; must be able to work W2 after six months

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 annually, based on experience

hirify.global is helping a client hire an engineer to build, modernize, test, and support enterprise applications.

What you will do

• Build and maintain Java and Spring Boot applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Design API contracts and documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger, and implement JWT/OAuth2 authentication.
• Design, integrate, migrate, and optimize relational databases, SQL queries, and procedures using JPA/Hibernate.
• Build event-driven integrations with Kafka or similar messaging technologies.
• Containerize applications and support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Kubernetes/Fargate deployments, and production systems.
• Own assigned stories through production, participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, code reviews, documentation, mentoring, and off-hours on-call support.

Requirements

• Strong enterprise Java development experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience, including production-ready query and performance work.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and using JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience writing automated unit and integration tests and working with Git-based source control and CI/CD practices.
• Experience delivering production-ready applications in Agile environments.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; ability to work W2 after six months is required.

Nice to have

• Kafka or RabbitMQ, React or Angular, and PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• OpenAPI/Swagger, JWT/OAuth2, Docker, Kubernetes/Fargate, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Gradle.
• Spock, JUnit, Mockito, SAFe, Jira, and Confluence experience.
