Calibration Technician (Biotechnology)

Location: Rensselaer, New York, United States. Onsite role with training Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm for 3–6 months, followed by a Sunday–Thursday, 10:00pm–8:30am schedule.

Salary: $24.76–$52.88 per hour, with possible shift differential and weekend pay.

What you will do

• Calibrate temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical instrumentation.
• Perform loop checks, tuning, troubleshooting, and instrumentation start-up.
• Work with medium- and low-voltage systems, basic plumbing, and tube bending.
• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Support Facilities Management, Clean Utilities, contractors, and vendors during planned and unplanned work.
• Maintain manufacturing and support equipment in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite in Rensselaer, New York, including the Sunday–Thursday overnight schedule.
• AAS degree preferred, ideally in engineering or construction technologies.
• Calibration Technician II: 2+ years of related experience, or HSD/GED with 5+ years of experience.
• Calibration Technician III: 5+ years of related experience, or HSD/GED with 8+ years of experience.
• Calibration Technician IV: 8+ years of related experience, or HSD/GED with 8+ years of experience.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds; participate in on-call rotation; and use Microsoft Office and computer systems.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining and operating large-scale utilities plants.
• ISA CCST Certification.
