Calibration Technician (MedTech)

Location: San Angelo, Texas, United States of America; onsite. Training is scheduled on the day shift for 9–12 months, followed by a transition to the night shift.

Salary: $28.34 per hour

What you will do

• Execute assigned calibrations for equipment, instruments, components, and instrumented systems.
• Perform emergency repairs, routine and preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and recalibrate instruments and instrumentation systems.
• Use technical drawings, diagrams, specifications, tables, and handbooks to install, maintain, and repair equipment.
• Connect and disconnect electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic fittings associated with instruments and control loops.
• Maintain accurate calibration and equipment service records while supporting reliability and continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of skills, experience, or training.
• Knowledge of instrument-related drawings, diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical information and apply it to maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently, make critical decisions, and lead assigned duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to pass the WorkKeys Assessment.
• Amenability to work the required day-shift training schedule and transition to night shift after training.

Nice to have

• At least two years of technical school education, military training, or equivalent on-the-job training in an instrumentation-related field.
