Sr Calibration Technician

Location: Round Lake, Illinois, United States; onsite

Salary: $60,000–$82,500 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of circuits, components, analytical equipment, and laboratory and manufacturing instruments.
• Follow calibration procedures and applicable SOPs while creating and maintaining equipment files.
• Set up laboratory equipment and measurement standards, apply calibration formulas, and support engineers with evaluation plans.
• Coordinate instrument recertification with external standards laboratories, including incoming inspections and documentation reviews.
• Investigate calibration laboratory nonconformances, own related CAPAs, and provide technical support on metrology issues.
• Support calibration projects across three manufacturing cells and manage purchase orders through Coupa.

Requirements

• Associate degree and three to five years of relevant experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of metrology and the ability to handle moderately complex processes and procedures.
• Judgment, initiative, communication, writing, detail orientation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, during Preventive Maintenance Period shutdowns, with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for tasks such as HEPA filter replacement.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporin drugs.
