Biomedical Technician III (Medical Equipment)

Location: Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The role involves working primarily at customer healthcare sites, periodic travel, and flexible evening, weekend, holiday, and emergency off-hours coverage.

Pay range: $37.54–$60.06 per hour.

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair a wide range of medical devices.
• Perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective service.
• Complete service documentation and computer data entry for billing and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clinical staff about equipment features and functionality.
• Provide technical training and coaching on equipment operation, maintenance, repair, quality management, and ISO procedures.
• Supervise biomedical personnel and other employees while supporting 24/7 customer needs.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent military training or CBET certification.
• Subject matter expertise in specialized equipment such as anesthesia, imaging, network-smart technology, respiratory equipment, or sterilizers.
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance and repair of general medical equipment.
• Current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and perform extended periods of physical activity including bending, climbing, kneeling, standing, and walking.
