HVAC Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Marion, North Carolina, United States; onsite manufacturing plant role. Applicants must be authorized to work for a U.S. employer. Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m. The role may require working holidays, some weekends, plant shutdown periods, and occasional overnight travel for factory acceptance testing and training.

Salary: $52,800–$63,800 annually.

What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems and plant manufacturing equipment, including electrical, mechanical, alignment, adjustment, and setup issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, analyze equipment failures for root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Use PLC and servo interfaces, multimeters, HVAC gauges, and predictive maintenance tools such as laser alignment, vibration analysis, infrared, and ultrasonic inspection.
• Coordinate equipment modifications and installations with engineering, vendors, suppliers, and maintenance groups, including change-control documentation.
• Support factory acceptance testing, annual inspections, safety solutions, equipment checks, and development of standard troubleshooting and changeover procedures.
• Train operators and maintenance personnel, serve as a subject matter expert for maintenance SOPs, and maintain accurate equipment documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical systems repair, industrial maintenance, or an equivalent area.
• Ability to obtain universal HVAC certification within 6 months of starting; a universal HVAC certificate is preferred.
• Basic English written and oral communication skills are required, including the ability to understand safety, quality, work instructions, and technical drawings.
• Basic mathematics and computer skills, organization, self-motivation, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb and crawl in confined spaces, work around moving equipment, and wear required controlled-environment protective equipment.
