AWS Solution Architect (Contractor)

What you will do

• Design a simplified AWS network architecture covering VPCs, subnets, routing, segmentation, and controlled connectivity.
• Own the target architecture and improve security, scalability, maintainability, and service-to-service communication.
• Define and execute a phased migration strategy while identifying dependencies, risks, and constraints.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code implementation with Terraform and transition relevant CloudFormation templates.
• Shape and optimize CI/CD pipelines using existing tools such as Jenkins and Concourse.
• Validate implementations against architectural principles and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements

• Hands-on AWS Solution Architecture experience, particularly with networking, infrastructure simplification, and migration-focused environments.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and secure network connectivity.
• Experience defining and executing migration strategies for complex environments.
• Strong Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code experience and familiarity with CloudFormation.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins and Concourse, plus container and serverless technologies such as Docker, ECS, and Lambda.
• Strong ownership, communication, analytical, collaboration, and delivery skills, with the ability to work strategically and hands-on.
