TL;DR
AWS Solutions Architect (AWS/Cloud): Designing and operating scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures for an EdTech project with an accent on cloud modernization, observability, security, and cost optimization. Focus on building migration roadmaps, debugging complex production issues, automating infrastructure with IaC, and designing highly available application and integration architectures.

What you will do
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures using services such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, and VPC.
- Define target architectures and migration or modernization roadmaps for legacy systems, including monolith-to-cloud-native and hybrid transformations.
- Review application architectures, APIs, data flows, microservices, event-driven systems, authentication, authorization, and service-to-service communication.
- Debug complex production issues by correlating logs, metrics, and distributed traces, while improving monitoring and observability.
- Automate AWS environments with Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop security, high availability, disaster recovery, incident response, and cloud cost optimization strategies.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of hands-on AWS experience in production environments.
- Experience designing and operating cloud-based applications, with a background in application development or architecture using PHP, Java, or similar technologies.
- Experience with REST APIs, monolithic and microservice architectures, event-driven systems, and cloud application debugging.
- Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and observability tools such as CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration using ECS and/or EKS.
- Proficient English and the ability to work remotely from Poland, communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with distributed tracing, including OpenTelemetry or X-Ray.
- Experience in regulated or high-availability environments.
- Performance optimization at both application and infrastructure levels.
- AWS or DevOps certifications in areas such as DevOps, Security, SysOps, or Networking.
