Integration Technical Architect (AWS/AI)

Location: Deerfield, Illinois, United States; minimum 3 days per week onsite

Salary: $124,000–$170,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses

What you will do

• Design and implement AWS architectures connecting clinical, supply chain, and enterprise systems.
• Develop API-first, event-driven, asynchronous messaging, and data synchronization patterns.
• Support hybrid cloud-to-on-premise and SaaS-to-platform integration scenarios.
• Contribute to architecture standards, technical documentation, design reviews, and troubleshooting.
• Guide infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices while evaluating AWS services for specific use cases.
• Integrate AI and agentic AI capabilities into enterprise workflows, including autonomous API, database, and workflow interactions.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in Deerfield, Illinois at least 3 days per week.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience and 5–8+ years in software engineering or architecture roles.
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, SQS/SNS, and EventBridge.
• Experience with Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation; AWS Well-Architected Framework; networking; monitoring; and observability.
• Strong integration experience covering REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, enterprise systems, data transformation, middleware, or iPaaS platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, strong communication skills, and AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.

Nice to have

• Healthcare, medical device, or regulated-industry experience, including HIPAA, GxP, or FDA software validation.
• Awareness of HL7 and FHIR healthcare data standards.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, data platforms, analytics pipelines, TOGAF, or global multi-region environments.
• Professional-level AWS Solutions Architect certification.
