Architect

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Hoffman Estates, Itasca, Darien, Downers Grove, or Westmont, Illinois, United States. Hybrid schedule with a minimum of three office days per week.

What you will do

• Research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects across multiple market segments.
• Lead projects from preliminary design through detailed construction documents.
• Prepare design proposals, presentations, discipline scopes, deliverables, estimates, and client materials.
• Coordinate architectural designs with engineering disciplines, 3D models, site scans, and BIM workflows.
• Delegate work, supervise designers, and guide project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, and expectations.
• Inspect sites, evaluate existing building conditions, identify scope changes, and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 5–10 years of relevant post-graduate experience.
• Architectural license required.
• Working knowledge of Revit, BIM modeling, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction materials, construction methods, building codes, and life-safety practices.
• Strong communication, presentation, leadership, decision-making, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, or GMP environments.
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, SketchUp, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
