Head of Corporate Development

Location: Remote-first; most roles are remote in-country, some are remote within a region, and occasional travel is required for onboarding and team gatherings.

A software company building a workflow orchestration platform and ecosystem for developers and businesses.

What you will do

• Build and manage the full M&A pipeline, from target sourcing and strategic rationale through diligence, negotiation, closing, and integration handoff.
• Design and launch a strategic seed investment program for companies building on the platform, including the investment thesis, mandate, check sizes, sourcing pipeline, and governance.
• Lead investment execution, including sourcing, diligence, term negotiation, board or observer rights, and portfolio monitoring.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to align acquisition and investment decisions with the platform roadmap.
• Maintain a market map of the ecosystem and identify partnership, investment, and acquisition opportunities.
• Build financial models and valuation analyses, present recommendations to executive leadership and the board, and establish scalable processes for M&A and investment activity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in corporate development, venture capital or growth investing, investment banking, or private equity.
• Experience with both M&A and minority investing, including independently sourcing, structuring, and closing deals.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, diligence, and commercial judgment skills.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to translate technical and platform strategy into deal criteria.
• Familiarity with developer tools, infrastructure, or platform ecosystems; workflow orchestration knowledge is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations.
