Director of Corporate Development (M&A)

Location: Seattle, United States; hybrid workplace

Salary: $158,513–$210,822 annual base salary in the greater Seattle area, plus a 15% bonus.

What you will do

• Evaluate, negotiate, and execute acquisitions and strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders.
• Develop investment theses and articulate the strategic value of potential transactions.
• Build financial models covering forecasts, synergies, sensitivity analysis, and integration costs.
• Partner on integration plans, define transaction success criteria, and evaluate completed deals after closing.
• Build and prioritize a pipeline of external targets while monitoring the pet industry ecosystem.
• Develop relationships with founders, executives, and decision-makers at relevant companies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of corporate development and/or M&A experience in-house, investment banking, or advisory.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including forecasting, synergy estimation, and sensitivity analysis.
• Experience managing projects and stakeholders across identification, evaluation, due diligence, negotiation, integration, and retrospective analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Seattle.

• MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
