Project Manager

Location: Hybrid role based in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, United States

Salary: $83,200–$114,400 per year, plus a 10% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Lead or support transmission, substation, distribution, gas, information technology, and organizational projects and programs.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, safety performance, costs, and recovery plans.
• Lead cross-functional teams through business case development, capital approval, project execution, and closeout.
• Coordinate requirements, design and engineering work, procurement, environmental analysis, real estate activities, and regulatory interactions.
• Prepare structured project reports and financial analyses for management.
• Communicate with sponsors, senior management, customers, vendors, government agencies, and regulatory officials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field, plus 2–4 years of relevant project management experience; alternatively, a high school diploma and 3–6 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated project management, leadership, communication, presentation, writing, judgment, and time-management skills.
• Ability to build consensus, establish trust, work independently, lead teams, and manage conflicting priorities.
• Experience developing process improvements, technology enhancements, performance improvements, budgets, costs, and metrics reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Passport.
• Valid driver’s license and access to an automobile.

Nice to have

• Experience in utility design, planning, construction, information technology, or another relevant functional discipline.
• CAPM or PMP certification.
