Cloud Architect (Multi-Cloud)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

• Define multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, adoption guardrails, and reference designs across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
• Design federated identity, SSO, cross-cloud authorization, networking, private connectivity, and zero-trust patterns.
• Establish reusable infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, container, Kubernetes, and serverless strategies.
• Design cross-cloud data movement, residency, analytics, observability, security monitoring, unified policy enforcement, and FinOps practices.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, partnering with security architects on multi-cloud security and key management.
• Guide engineering teams on cloud-agnostic versus cloud-native approaches and produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and reference designs.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States and work remotely.
• U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, or H-1B transfer candidates may apply; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least eight years of cloud architecture experience, including hands-on work with at least two major cloud providers.
• Deep knowledge of multi-cloud networking, identity, security, infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, Kubernetes, containers, and managed cloud services.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, multiple cloud certifications, and experience leading multi-cloud architecture initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience with Crossplane, Pulumi, or Terraform CDK.
• Familiarity with cloud-agnostic observability platforms and large-scale cloud-to-cloud migrations.
• Experience with regulated industries and multi-cloud mandates.
• Public talks or writing on multi-cloud architecture.
