What you will do

• Define cloud architecture strategy, standards, and best practices for deployment and management.
• Lead the design of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AWS platforms.
• Develop reference architectures, including roadmaps, blueprints, and patterns aligned with the company vision.
• Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks, including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and UK financial regulations.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and engineering teams for seamless platform integration.
• Mentor technical teams on DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and strong architectural discipline.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available systems on AWS.
• Deep expertise in cloud networking, security, databases, and storage solutions.
• Knowledge of containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Experience working within a regulated industry.
• Must have the right to work in the UK; employment sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience in cloud migration design and implementation within hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of the UK financial services sector and its regulatory framework.
• Familiarity with common Enterprise Architecture (EA) tooling.
