TL;DR
Requirements Management Engineer V (Aerospace): Owning and maintaining system, subsystem, and component requirements for Axiom Station with an accent on requirements architecture, decomposition, traceability, and lifecycle management. Focus on coordinating formal requirements reviews, assessing design and test compliance, managing changes and waivers, and supporting systems engineering and integration across stakeholders.

Location: Onsite in Webster, Texas

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end requirements management for Axiom Station systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Develop and maintain requirements architecture, system requirements, subsystem requirements, and component or procurement specifications.
  • Solicit and compile requirements from stakeholders, contracts, standards, and related sources.
  • Maintain bidirectional traceability, change tracking, derivations, impact assessments, and requirements updates across lifecycle stages.
  • Coordinate formal requirements reviews and approvals, and develop waivers and other variances.
  • Monitor design and testing progress, communicate compliance issues, and collaborate with systems engineers, program personnel, and external customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering and integration.
  • Demonstrated experience authoring and managing functional, performance, safety, and interface requirements.
  • Proficiency with at least one requirements management tool such as Jama, DOORS, or Innoslate.
  • Must satisfy applicable U.S. export-control eligibility requirements for access to ITAR, EAR, or NASA-regulated technical data; additional screening may be required.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required to meet critical project milestones.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aerospace or spaceflight systems, especially human-rated or safety-critical programs.
  • Experience with Jama Connect, Cameo Datahub, JIRA, or Confluence.
  • Hands-on MBSE experience using SysML or an equivalent modeling language in tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, or Innoslate.
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid Agile/waterfall environments.
  • INCOSE membership or ASEP/CSEP certification.
