Hiring range: $128,000–$192,000 USD annually

What you will do
- Own reliability and quality activities across design, planning, manufacturing, and program execution for the Terran R vehicle.
- Standardize drawings, support design for manufacturability, and manage configuration control.
- Review work instructions, develop processes, and create standard rework and repair documentation.
- Perform in-process build verification, coordinate traveled work, and support as-built verification.
- Manage nonconformance processes, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Develop specifications, inspection walkdown checklists, quality automation initiatives, and DFM practices in collaboration with Engineering, Additive, Manufacturing, Test, and Launch teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or another STEM field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience working with design engineering, manufacturing, production, and test personnel.
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, complex assembly practices, and quality processes and controls.
- Working knowledge of PLM, MES, ERP, and QMS software, plus proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to solve complex cross-functional problems, establish project objectives, and communicate effectively with technical teams and management.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of FMEA, APQP, SPC, or PPV product development methodologies.
- Successful hardware NPI experience across manufacturing, test, and production systems.
- Familiarity with high-volume inspection and data-driven acceptance methods.
- Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 practices for aerospace programs.
- Experience defining and implementing new processes across diverse teams.
