Strategic Finance Manager (SaaS)

Location: Remote across the United States

Salary: $155,000–$185,000 per year USD plus equity

What you will do

• Own cross-functional KPI reporting and proactively communicate important performance signals.
• Lead strategic planning for new initiatives, market opportunities, and business tradeoffs.
• Provide ad hoc analysis for executive leaders and department stakeholders.
• Own FP&A activities, including Board and investor reporting, financial planning, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Improve data quality at the source and build, maintain, and enhance data models and reporting capabilities.
• Translate complex financial and operational analysis into clear recommendations for non-finance audiences.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment, combined with FP&A or strategic finance experience.
• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, including ARR, NRR/GRR, CAC, LTV, magic number, burn multiple, and Rule of 40.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and experience building clean, structured models.
• Experience building processes or tooling from scratch, ideally using AI to accelerate development.
• Ability to provide leadership with contextualized analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Strong communication, organization, responsiveness, and independent problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt, Snowflake, SQL, BI or dashboarding tools, and FP&A tools.
• Experience at a company with fewer than approximately 100 employees.
