VP of Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: San Francisco, CA; office attendance required 4 days per week

Salary: $260,000–$340,000 annually, plus benefits, potential equity, and potential bonus

What you will do

• Build and continuously evolve the multi-year financial model, translating strategic goals into a driver-based roadmap.
• Lead the annual operating plan, including cross-functional budgets and headcount plans.
• Establish monthly budget-versus-actuals reporting, diagnose variances, and develop mitigation options with business leaders.
• Build forecasting processes for public-sector and commercial enterprise segments.
• Analyze unit economics, including gross margin, FDE, infrastructure and compute costs, CAC, payback, and net dollar retention.
• Prepare financial cases, executive and Board reporting, investor analysis, financing and transaction materials, and IPO-readiness analysis.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including investment banking, private equity, top-tier consulting, strategic finance, or FP&A leadership in a high-growth technology company.
• Ownership of a company-wide annual planning cycle and cross-functional alignment.
• Exceptional financial modeling skills and hands-on data fluency, including SQL or an equivalent tool.
• Experience with complex subscription, consumption, and professional services revenue models.
• AI-native approach with examples of automating recurring manual work.
• Experience recruiting, managing, and developing quantitative talent, with exceptional executive communication skills.

• Experience with government contracting, regulated customers, or long procurement cycles.
• Experience supporting international expansion.
