TL;DR
Operations Customer Service Representative (Logistics): Coordinating cross-border transportation operations for Mexico customers with an accent on carrier capacity, shipment visibility, documentation, and delivery scheduling. Focus on maintaining accurate TMS records, resolving transportation constraints, analyzing KPIs, and ensuring complete border and warehouse documentation.

Location: Monterrey, Mexico; hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility based on coverage and some after-hours and weekend expectations.

What you will do

  • Coordinate carrier operations, daily capacity, status updates, tracking reports, and customer visibility.
  • Create loads and tenders, send rate confirmations, and maintain accurate costs, rates, dates, and shipment statuses in the TMS.
  • Coordinate carrier, broker, customer, consignee, and internal stakeholder communication to resolve transportation constraints.
  • Manage trailer details, border-crossing documentation, warehouse arrivals, delivery appointments, and timely deliveries.
  • Analyze KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, implement corrective actions, and support capacity sourcing and carrier optimization.
  • Support finance and intercompany teams with discrepancies involving load rates or assigned carriers.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of logistics operations experience, including knowledge of cross-border transportation between Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
  • English proficiency of at least 80% required.
  • Critical thinking, data analysis, strategic goal-setting, problem-solving, and customer-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as a self-starter and collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred. Experience with transportation management systems is desirable.
