Sr Technical Accountant (Healthcare)

Location: Remote

Salary: $86,900–$130,200 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Research, interpret, and apply U.S. GAAP, SEC guidance, and emerging accounting standards.
• Prepare audit-ready technical accounting memoranda and supporting documentation.
• Analyze complex transactions involving acquisitions, revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, consolidations, goodwill, debt, equity, foreign currency, and software capitalization.
• Support accounting matters related to healthcare services, including self-insurance, medical malpractice liabilities, risk management, and physician compensation programs.
• Partner with financial reporting, accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, legal, operations, corporate development, HR, IT, and external auditors.
• Support quarterly and annual reporting, disclosures, standard implementations, due diligence, purchase accounting, M&A, divestitures, and joint ventures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant technical accounting, financial reporting, or public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, accounting research methods, and financial statement disclosures.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent, plus Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, research, communication, project management, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Advanced degree or additional accounting education.
• Experience with IFRS.
