Staff Accountant (Healthcare)

Salary: $55,000–$66,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day operational accounting activities and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, monthly and quarterly reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Analyze accruals, capitalized software, share-based compensation, and other financial transactions to ensure accurate journal entries.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies, identify significant fluctuations, and support internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Develop scalable, automated, and efficient accounting processes and workflows.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax professionals, internal departments, clients, and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 0–2 years of experience in financial reporting and/or general accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial analysis principles.
• Intermediate Excel skills and strong analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, solve problems, and develop accounting practices and policies.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment from the United States.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward a CPA license.
• QuickBooks experience.
