Senior SEC Reporting Accountant

Location: Remote - United States. Hybrid and office settings are available at offices in San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles. Candidates residing in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, or Wisconsin are not being considered.

Salary: $99,450–$140,000 annually, depending on US location, skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Prepare Form 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K financial statements, footnotes, supporting schedules, tie-outs, and support binders.
• Build the external reporting calendar, templates, and supporting documentation for public company readiness.
• Support the design, documentation, and implementation of SOX internal controls over financial reporting.
• Own the PBC rollforward and end-to-end PBC management, including request tracking and auditor coordination.
• Partner with Corporate Finance, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Equity Administration, and external auditors to source disclosure inputs.
• Improve reporting processes, systems, and documentation while contributing to analyses and special projects.

Requirements

• Active CPA license required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting experience at a Big 4 or national audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Hands-on experience preparing SEC filings, including 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K filings, footnote drafting, tie-outs, and XBRL tagging in Workiva.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite or a comparable ERP, plus familiarity with SOX and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Strong organization, independent working ability, communication skills, and experience managing competing close and filing deadlines.
