Equipment Engineer III - Technology Development (Semiconductor)

Location: Beverly, Massachusetts, United States; on-site role. Domestic and international travel required for R&D activities, less than 10%.

Salary: $89,082.24–$133,623.36 per year, plus eligibility for a team incentive bonus and benefits.

Develops semiconductor processing equipment and ion implantation systems for research and manufacturing applications.

What you will do

• Support R&D development systems related to ion beam implantation.
• Own multiple engineering assets, including maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and coordination with facilities and engineering teams.
• Install and replace gases and chemicals using approved safety procedures and verify that safety interlocks operate correctly.
• Run R&D tests and experiments, format and analyze data, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
• Develop instrumentation and measurement systems and participate in design reviews.
• Create and maintain drawings, procedures, test procedures, and test data documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, with 3–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with toxic or hazardous gases and chemicals, high-voltage equipment, safety equipment, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read parts and assembly drawings and read and update electrical and controls schematics.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift more than 35 pounds while working on complex systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Beverly, Massachusetts, with limited domestic and international travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with complex semiconductor processing equipment, ion beam, plasma, or RF systems.
• Experience with Excel or statistical software for data analysis.
• Experience programming laboratory automation software such as LabVIEW.
