Senior Engineering Manager (Financial Platform)

Location: Hybrid work for applicants across the U.S. where hirify.global is registered and able to support employment; Alaska, Hawaii, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming are excluded. Hybrid hubs are available in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, and Raleigh.

Salary: $172,000–$229,000 base salary annually, plus annual bonus and meaningful equity.

What you will do

• Architect, build, and maintain the integration and data platform supporting external systems and expert agents.
• Lead technical decisions across multiple teams, balancing performance, maintainability, scalability, and developer experience.
• Design and optimize APIs, service patterns, data models, database queries, and third-party integrations.
• Drive observability and operational excellence through logging, monitoring, tracing, alerting, and performance analysis.
• Improve engineering-wide testing practices, tooling, productivity, platform quality, and customer impact.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, architecture discussions, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership of large technical initiatives.
• Deep experience with modern JavaScript and TypeScript environments, Node.js, GraphQL, RESTful services, PostgreSQL, and Temporal.
• Experience with workflows, data platforms, data integrity, reconciliation, resilience, reliability, event-driven systems, messaging, and real-time data processing.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or similar cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, scalable deployment, schema design, and query optimization.
• Strong mentoring, communication, technical writing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience with large enterprise ERP and CRM platforms.
• Experience leading platformization, service architecture, API, financial, or accounting initiatives.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
