Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; San Francisco, California; or Washington, DC. Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in the San Francisco office. Candidates must be able to provide documentation establishing U.S. Person status.

Annual base salary: $204,000–$306,000 USD for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

What you will do

• Manage SRE teams supporting Okta's IDaaS platform and shared infrastructure services.
• Lead platform areas including edge networking, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, automation, and developer tooling.
• Drive microservices adoption, DevOps maturity, workload reliability, and self-healing capabilities.
• Develop self-service tools and infrastructure platforms that improve engineering velocity.
• Lead, mentor, and grow engineers and managers across platform and infrastructure teams.
• Evaluate technical designs and ensure projects meet resource, budget, and schedule constraints.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical leadership and people management experience.
• Experience building large-scale infrastructure and shared services for SaaS or cloud products using Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience operating public-cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS; multi-cloud experience is advantageous.
• Strong expertise in cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, software development, PaaS, and automation.
• Experience building and operating observability and monitoring platforms such as Grafana, Splunk, and APM tools.
• Ability to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status is required because the role involves access to federal environments or protected federal data.
