Software Engineer, Forward Deployed

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY; relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF may be available.

Salary: $189,000–$330,000 annually, plus equity. Final compensation depends on location and hiring level.

What you will do

• Deliver software end to end for large and complex customers, from understanding pain points and scoping product specifications to building autonomous agents.
• Interact directly with customers and ship solutions that expand Ramp’s product capabilities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solutions, Customer Success, and Account Management to close deals, activate customers, and expand customer value.
• Contribute to the core product engineering roadmap through the embedding model.
• Develop deep expertise in a core product area and prioritize custom solutions versus broader product initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience preferred.
• Extensive experience building with and for agents.
• Track record of shipping high-quality products at scale.
• Comfort and enthusiasm for customer-facing engineering.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and continuously develop technical expertise.
