Forward Deployed Engineer, Federal (AI)

Location: Redwood City, California, United States, or Tysons, Virginia, United States

Salary: $120,000–$158,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Engineer and deploy full-stack, AI-based enterprise applications on the C3 AI Platform.
• Design, develop, and deliver production applications, demonstrations, and proofs-of-technology for U.S. federal customers.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct software design and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, test, and improve customer applications while reviewing architecture and engineering practices.
• Lead technical deep-dives, product demonstrations, and customer training sessions.
• Document application specifications, identify technical risks, and collaborate with product management and engineering on improvements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a comparable field.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience with object-oriented programming languages.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel as needed and work effectively on cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph or greater.
• Federal government or Department of Defense experience.
• Experience deploying enterprise-scale applications or working in customer-facing roles.
• Experience with JavaScript, Python, Git, and JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Vue, Backbone, or Angular.
• Graduate degree in STEM or a comparable field.
