Forward Deployed Engineer, Federal (AI)

Salary: $120,000–$158,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Engineer and deploy full-stack, AI-based enterprise applications on the C3 AI Platform.
• Work directly with U.S. federal customers to design and deliver production applications, demonstrations, and proofs of technology.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct design and code reviews focused on quality, architecture, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, test, and improve customer applications while identifying and mitigating technical risks.
• Lead technical deep dives, product demonstrations, and customer training sessions.
• Write technical documentation and collaborate with product management and engineering on product improvements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a comparable field.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience with object-oriented programming languages.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph or higher.
• Federal or Department of Defense experience.
• Experience deploying enterprise-scale applications and working in customer-facing roles.
• Experience with JavaScript, Python, Git, and frameworks such as React, Redux, Vue, Backbone, or Angular.
• Graduate degree in STEM or a comparable field.
