Energy Reliability and Compliance Associate (Solar PV and Energy Storage)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; based in the Boston office

Salary: $77,000–$111,500 per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Support the operation and compliance of large-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects.
• Track changes to NERC Generator Owner and Generator Operator reliability standards and assess their applicability.
• Manage relationships with compliance consultants and lead responses to NERC information requests and audits.
• Coordinate registrations, self-certifications, EIA-860, EIA-923, and FERC EQR submissions.
• Align field operations, maintenance programs, training, and data management with reliability requirements.
• Partner with engineering, development, and field services teams on grid events, investigations, remedial actions, and project design requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, energy, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in regulatory or compliance work, preferably involving NERC requirements for large-scale energy infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands independently.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong verbal, written, technical communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with VBA, Python, SQL, or other programming languages.
• Work experience or education in solar, wind, or battery storage technologies.
