What you will do

• Design, build, and support scalable TypeScript-based applications using MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js, APIs, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop web applications, microservices, integrations, and containerized cloud-native solutions for Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes.
• Lead solution design, architecture reviews, technical projects, planning sessions, and technical decision-making.
• Coordinate work across developers, product teams, and stakeholders while identifying and resolving technical risks and delivery challenges.
• Mentor developers through code reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues using Sentry, OpenTelemetry, and structured logging, while driving improvements in reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience and proven experience leading software projects or influencing technical direction.
• Strong, current expertise with TypeScript, MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with dependency injection, Redis-backed job queues, Google Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, Auth0, OIDC, JWT, Zod, Redux Toolkit, React Hook Form or Formik, and Material UI or similar tooling.
• Experience deploying solutions on Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, and Secret Manager.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, scalable web applications, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience mentoring developers, leading technical discussions, and collaborating effectively with Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and business teams.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Project Lead.
• Experience with payments, card processing, PCI-DSS, or client-side field-level encryption.
• Experience with construction software, ERP, financial, expense management, accounts payable, invoice processing, procurement, or purchasing applications.
• Experience with feature flag release management or integrating LLMs and generative AI into production applications.
• Familiarity with Azure, .NET, or C# technologies.
