Staff Software Engineer (TypeScript/React/Node.js)

Location: Hybrid, based out of the downtown Austin office after onboarding; ATX or NYC

What you will do

• Architect, build, test, and ship high-quality code across the full platform.
• Collaborate with Product to design scalable, elegant, customer-centric solutions.
• Triage, prioritize, and resolve system-level issues while guiding quality and reliability practices.
• Improve system performance, code health, and engineering efficiency.
• Build solutions around customer needs and meaningful user value.
• Mentor teammates and strengthen a culture of technical rigor and learning.

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-stack software development experience, including ownership of complex features or systems at scale.
• Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Deep proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, relational databases, Git, and AWS.
• Experience shipping code in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including leading cross-functional discussions, driving alignment, and mentoring peers.
• Willingness to work in person or in a hybrid schedule from the downtown Austin office.

Nice to have

• DevOps experience extending beyond application development to owning how code runs in production.
• Experience learning and applying tools such as Linear, Claude Code, and other advancing AI tools.
