User Engagement Systems Engineer SME (Space Domain Awareness)

Location: Aurora, Colorado; Chantilly, Virginia; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Herndon, Virginia; or Sterling, Virginia, United States. The role includes on-site discussions and meetings with system users and stakeholders.

Salary: $173,600–$245,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Document operational incidents, track their status, and provide updates to users.
• Communicate development plans, delivery status, system capabilities, and expected timelines.
• Explain system functionality and develop operational tradecraft and user guides.
• Support the transition from a legacy system to a modern architecture.
• Provide informal over-the-shoulder user training.
• Connect users, customers, and site personnel to support approvals, software delivery, system integration, and on-site stakeholder discussions.

Requirements

• Experience in user engagement engineering with a systems engineering background.
• Experience documenting and tracking operational incidents.
• Ability to explain system functionality and manage user expectations around capabilities and delivery timelines.
• Experience developing operational documentation and supporting system transitions.
• Ability to facilitate user training and coordinate communication among users, customers, and site personnel.
• Availability to work at one of the listed United States locations and participate in on-site discussions and meetings.
