Requirements Management Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in San Diego, California

Salary: $100,000–$135,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Support the DOORS Manager and help maintain program-specific scripts, reports, traces, and documentation.
• Maintain and update a DOORS database containing approximately 50,000 requirements and 100,000 objects across 177 modules and 115 nested folders.
• Maintain approximately 10,000 lines of DXL scripts integrating satellite and ground-manufacturer baseline data.
• Develop and update hierarchical reports and tools for linking requirements by REQID.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture, trace, and manage requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Maintain critical documentation and processes supporting long-term program stability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in engineering, mathematics, business, or the sciences.
• Proficiency with the DoD DOORS application for requirements management and analysis.
• Experience with DXL scripting and database management.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to analyze and maintain complex data structures, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Security clearance required.

Nice to have

• Experience in satellite communications or aerospace programs.
• Knowledge of hierarchical scripts and advanced DOORS reporting techniques.
