Trade Compliance Specialist (Logistics)

What you will do

• Support daily trade, export, customs, and Foreign Trade Zone compliance activities.
• Review import, export, customs brokerage, Foreign Trade Zone, and shipment documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor files, track discrepancies, follow up on corrective actions, and support compliance reporting.
• Identify potential compliance concerns and escalate them to Trade Compliance leadership.
• Maintain compliance records and support internal and external audits.
• Coordinate training and collaborate with operations, customer service, warehouse, brokerage, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, logistics, customs, or a related field is preferred.
• Understanding of import/export, customs, Foreign Trade Zone, classification, valuation, country of origin, recordkeeping, and restricted-party screening requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and issue-escalation skills.
• Proficiency in English and one local language spoken in the district.
• Ability to complete required training and certifications, pass applicable examinations, and clear background and conflict-of-interest checks.

Nice to have

• Experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, logistics, import/export operations, or Foreign Trade Zone operations.
• U.S. Customs Broker license or an equivalent country license where available.
• IATA/FIATA examination, DG certification, C-TPAT, AEO, STP, or similar security protocol training.
