TL;DR
Trade Compliance Specialist II (Import Compliance/FTZ): Supporting compliant U.S. import operations and Foreign-Trade Zone activities with an accent on customs documentation, HTS classification, trade data, and duty management. Focus on resolving customs discrepancies, maintaining FTZ inventory records, coordinating with brokers and logistics partners, and supporting audits and regulatory assessments.

Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States. Access to ITAR products requires the employee to be a U.S. Citizen or National, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under applicable U.S. regulations.

What you will do

  • Support daily U.S. import compliance and Foreign-Trade Zone operations in line with CBP regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain HTS classifications, country-of-origin data, and trade compliance records in SAP and other systems.
  • Review commercial invoices, packing lists, customs entries, and other import documentation.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, freight forwarders, and internal Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and Operations stakeholders.
  • Support FTZ inventory transactions, reconciliations, duty analysis, compliance reporting, and record retention.
  • Investigate entry discrepancies, support audits and broker reviews, monitor regulatory changes, and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Trade Compliance, Import Operations, FTZ Operations, Customs Brokerage, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. import regulations, customs processes, CBP requirements, and FTZ operations.
  • Ability to interpret customs documentation and apply established compliance procedures.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Eligibility to access ITAR products as a U.S. Citizen or National, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual is required.
