Location: Plymouth, Minnesota, USA; hybrid work arrangement
Salary: $65,000–$85,000 per year

What you will do
- Coordinate with sourcing, logistics, and cross-functional teams to resolve import issues and ensure compliant shipment execution.
- Act as the escalation point for distressed import shipments, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvement plans.
- Manage customs broker relationships, respond to inquiries, and support timely shipment clearance.
- Collect, review, and validate import documentation, classifications, valuations, countries of origin, and applicable duties.
- Support U.S. Customs and Border Protection requests, post-entry corrections and filings, bonded shipments, and free trade zone operations.
- Develop standard operating procedures, train stakeholders, and prepare import compliance reports and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, business administration, supply chain, logistics, or a related field, or three years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least three years of experience in import trade operations, compliance, supply chain, manufacturing, international logistics, or inventory management.
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and import compliance practices.
- Experience with customs brokers or importer compliance functions, plus strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency, with the ability to explain complex trade topics to non-specialists.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- U.S. Customs Broker License.
- Experience with specialized import transactions, including bonded shipments and free trade zones.
