Multimedia Curriculum Designer (Learning Experience Design)

Location: Hybrid in Springfield, Virginia, United States; US citizenship required. Active Secret clearance required, with interim clearance accepted. Travel up to 25%.

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop digital and in-person learning experiences using ADDIE and SAM methodologies.
• Create interactive training and multimedia assets, including videos, infographics, illustrations, animations, motion graphics, and audio.
• Translate complex technical information into accessible learning content for diverse adult learners.
• Produce customer-facing enablement assets, user guides, and performance support materials.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, engineering, product teams, and stakeholders.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects using agile or iterative delivery methods while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance required; interim clearance accepted.
• US citizenship required.
• Deep knowledge of adult learning theory, including andragogy, experiential learning, microlearning, and blended learning.
• Proficiency in ADDIE and SAM, instructional strategy, assessments, and outcome-driven training design.
• Expert proficiency with Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Knowledge of SCORM/xAPI standards, LMS integration, accessibility standards, Section 508, and WCAG.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-based tools, gamification, simulations, AR/VR, or rapid content tools such as Synthesia.
• Familiarity with Jira, SharePoint, MS Office, Cornerstone, and LMS compatibility testing.
• Experience performing quality assurance reviews and continuous improvement based on learner feedback.
