Senior Legal Counsel (Financial Services)

Location: Hybrid role requiring onsite work in the Duluth, Georgia office and remote work multiple days each week. Not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $115,000–$120,000, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Review advertising, training materials, communications, correspondence, and corporate documents for legal and brand compliance.
• Advise on disclosure requirements and marketing content for broker-dealer and investment advisor activities.
• Support compliance with FINRA, SEC, state securities and insurance laws, FTC and FCC rules, Do Not Call requirements, and CAN-SPAM.
• Research legislation, regulations, and legal risks, then communicate practical guidance to business units and the Legal Department.
• Develop proactive and defensive legal strategies and help business units understand applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide clear legal advice based on the company’s business operations and evolving regulatory environment.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from a recognized law school and current membership in good standing with a state bar or relevant law society.
• 2–5 years of experience as Legal Counsel in a business environment.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, legal procedures, financial services regulations, customer fair-treatment principles, and privacy requirements.
• Ability to analyze legal and business information, develop legal strategies, exercise sound judgment, and maintain high professional ethics.
• Excellent communication skills and a self-starting approach to researching and explaining legal requirements.
• FINRA Series SIE, 6, 26, and 63 licenses are required, or must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
