Senior Test Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design, develop, commission, and operate propulsion test facilities.
• Architect high-pressure fluid, pneumatic, hydraulic, and cryogenic systems.
• Develop automated test stands, test plans, and hazard analyses.
• Execute development and qualification test campaigns for propulsion systems and vehicles.
• Analyze test data, lead root-cause investigations, and implement solutions that improve safety, reliability, and performance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years supporting engine testing or complex mechanical test systems.
• Experience with high-pressure fluid systems, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and automated test systems.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather while wearing required PPE and lift up to 50 lb.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• 8+ years supporting liquid rocket engine testing.
• 5+ years supporting hazardous test operations involving HTP, RP-1, helium, or cryogenic systems.
• 5+ years of experience with CAD modeling software.
• Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and the Atlassian suite.
