Quality Inspector

Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $31.50–$59.60 per hour, plus equity; level-based ranges are provided for Quality Inspector II, III, and IV.

What you will do

• Inspect incoming raw materials and finished goods against specifications, documentation, and purchase order requirements.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of machined and fabricated components using hand tools, gauges, CMM, and other metrology equipment.
• Review test setups, fixtures, and results for compliance with testing protocols and standards.
• Inspect in-process and final assemblies for fit, function, and conformance with engineering drawings.
• Record inspection results, maintain quality records, and support root cause and corrective action activities.
• Help develop inspection procedures, training materials, and qualification processes for new inspectors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of direct manufacturing inspection experience in a production, fabrication, or assembly environment.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other basic inspection tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Ability to work long hours and weekends when necessary to support critical milestones.
• Applicants must meet U.S. government export-control eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Visual weld inspection experience, preferably AWS or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, NQA-1, or other quality management systems.
• Experience with CMM, advanced metrology, NDT methods, electronic MES, leak checks, or vacuum checks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience supporting continuous improvement.
