Staff Engineer, System Software (AI)

Develops Hivemind Vision and Mission Autonomy technology stacks for customer programs and internal R&D initiatives.

What you will do

• Capture end-to-end system requirements for Hivemind Vision Systems and integrated autonomy solutions.
• Design and support system architectures spanning perception, autonomy, and mission-level workflows.
• Use MBSE tools to document, maintain, and extend architecture models for integrations, capabilities, and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain UML, SysML, and/or UPDM models focused on system decomposition, functional flows, interfaces, and system behavior.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to improve tooling, automation, and connections between system models and codebases.
• Coordinate with program, product, engineering, business development, integration, and test teams while reporting status, risks, and accomplishments to senior leadership.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of systems engineering or related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 5 years with a Master's degree, 2 years with a PhD, or equivalent practical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field such as systems, software, aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• Experience with systems engineering practices, including writing, structuring, and verifying requirements.
• Experience with MBSE and system-modeling workflows, plus the ability to interpret engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, parts lists, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an organized and methodical approach to detailed technical information.
• Track record of integrity, high standards, teamwork, and professionalism.
