Lauch Pad Technician I (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States. Successful candidates must clear a US government background check for on-site work at a government partner location.

Salary: $23.76–$35.64 USD per hour

What you will do

• Support launch pad development, launch operations, and maintenance between flights.
• Fabricate, install, maintain, test, and operate process tubing, high-pressure gas systems, mechanical systems, and related assemblies.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and operating procedures.
• Assist with launch countdowns, integrated testing, and launch activities alongside engineering and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot pad hardware issues and escalate problems when appropriate.
• Help improve safety, quality, procedures, and operational workflows.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent credential.
• Experience fabricating, assembling, maintaining, or operating aerospace, mechanical, industrial, or similar hardware.
• Ability to identify hardware or operational issues, follow troubleshooting steps, and document work using software systems, databases, Microsoft Office, or similar tools.
• Experience using hand tools such as drills, band saws, grinders, or magnetic drills.
• Experience operating forklifts, reach lifts, man lifts, or similar equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, extended shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, lift up to 40 pounds, and use required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience as a technician, mechanic, maintenance technician, or similar hands-on technical professional.
• Experience with facility maintenance, repair, construction, demolition, or site preparation.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or similar facility systems.
