Senior Machinist (CNC)

Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $38–$55 USD per hour

What you will do

• Operate, set up, and maintain CNC mills and lathes.
• Program and edit CNC tool paths using ESPRIT EDGE CAM or Fusion 360.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Select and adjust tools, offsets, feeds, and speeds to optimize accuracy and machine performance.
• Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet quality and production schedules.

Requirements

• Proven CNC machining experience with both lathe and mill operations.
• Proficiency in CNC programming using ESPRIT or Fusion 360.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and material behavior.
• Experience with machine setup, adjustments, operational troubleshooting, and quality-control methods.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• ESPRIT EDGE, Heidenhain TNC7, 5-axis machining, or turbine machining experience.
