Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, USA; onsite, 1st shift Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM

What you will do
- Build, repair, modify, and maintain dies, fixtures, gauges, jigs, and specialized tooling for alternator manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot proprietary and custom-built machinery, diagnosing issues involving alignment, tolerance stack-up, wear, vibration, heat, and mechanical interaction.
- Redesign and rework machine assemblies and components when standard repairs are insufficient.
- Operate manual and CNC mills, lathes, and grinders to manufacture replacement parts and custom components.
- Drive corrective actions and continuous improvements that increase uptime, reduce scrap, and improve process stability.
- Provide technical guidance to Maintenance, Engineering, and Production, while documenting changes and mentoring toolroom staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 5 years of Tool & Die Maker, toolroom, or precision machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex mechanical systems and proprietary equipment.
- Ability to redesign and fabricate machine components with little or no assistance.
- Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, work at machines for extended periods, and occasionally lift 25–50 pounds.
Nice to have
- Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or completed apprenticeship.
- Experience with alternator, motor, or other rotating equipment manufacturing.
- Experience with automated or semi-automated assembly processes.
- Leadership experience in continuous improvement or equipment reliability initiatives.
