Field Service Engineer

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; remotely based from home with regional travel to customer facilities across North Central New York, Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Northern Kentucky. Overnight travel: 25%–60%.

Salary: $31.00–$36.00 per hour, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Service Beckman Coulter products at customer facilities.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot instrumentation issues using varied problem-solving methods.
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades.
• Drive prompt issue resolution with an emphasis on first-time fixes.
• Build customer relationships and support commercial initiatives.
• Support other service regions as needed.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, life science, or equivalent military experience.
• At least 1 year of experience solving, diagnosing, or troubleshooting instrumentation challenges.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to commute to customer facilities within the assigned territory required.
• Ability to occasionally lift, lower, and move up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Laboratory or field service experience.
• Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment.
